I have the 870 supermag with 26" barrel. I use it for everything. Put a limbsaver pad on it and you're good to go.

I have one as my back up turkey gun. Kicks like a mule even with 3 inch shells but it carries well and is indestructible.

Bought one 10+years ago, as a combo also with a rifled slug barrel, been a good gun and has cycled many shells, as long as you don't try to shoot cheap low brass/aluminum dove loads.

This model is not the original supermag build. I own several older ones. I should ve explained it better above but the run later like this model aren't built as tough as earlier models. The full forearm slide piece is flimsy as well as the components buy you an older model please and you'll be happy.

My dad has one like that, except his has a regular front bead. His is lighter than my older Super Mag, but it's been a good one. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy the same gun I have now. I do prefer the regular bead that's on ours, though.

Nice gun but I can't see spending $700 on it

The low aluminum shells would expand once shot and hang up In the chamber and you could not pump or shuck another shell until the shot shell cooled a bit, then it would shuck out as normal. I had high brass shells also and they shot and shucked as normal, but when I'd try the low aluminum shells everyone tried to jam in the chamber once shot, so I just gave em away and shot the high brass, problem solved. Just another reason to always try to shoot with the gear/ammo you will be hunting with to avoid any problems while hunting

I have one and it works great for me. All shotguns kick as well as this one but not near as bad as my buddies Mossberg. That gun (mossberg) pile drives your shoulder in the ground.

I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern
