Guys I'm ready to upgrade bows.. I bought this Hoyt Katera new in 2009. It's served me well but I have my eye on some of the newer models..

2009 Hoyt Katera, 29" 70# , 33"ATA

I will be selling this as a bare bow. Accessories not included.. Asking price $300
I can sale with the Ripcord arrow rest on it for $350
Prefer a FTF transaction, if I ship it will be at buyers expense.

Can the draw length be adjusted?

The draw length is adjustable by changing the mods on the cams. I believe this bow has the #4 Z3 cam on it and can only be set at 28, 28.5 or 29". To adjust the draw shorter you would need to change both cams out to the #3 cams. It would then adjust between 26.5 and 27.5" by changing the modules.

This is a helluva deal on this bow. thumbup

I have a '08 Vulcan but put the Z3 cams on it (so now it's a Katera), and I don't see any modules. My DL is 29", and the cam says 6.0. Don't see where it's adjustable...

I've always been under the impression it was cam specific to draw length.. But Shaw could be correct in that it has some minor adjusting available.. I'm not very savvy in the tech side of bows and Shaw is the expert from my readings on this site.

There may be a half inch of play in the string/cables, but there aren't modules that can be adjusted. The cams are draw length specific. What number is on the cams? look on the side opposite the red Z3 sticker...

I'm not a 100% sure, they may be length specific. But if they aren't draw length specific, there should be a screw on module on each cam. The module has to be swapped out with a new one to change the draw length. The module itself can't be adjusted.

Probably one of the best bows Hoyt has ever made right here.

I am pretty sure cams would have to be purchased to get the bow to 28"

60-70#.. I think you would have to purchase new limbs to get less poundage. Last time I checked which was last summer it was set on 66-67.

No need for a limb change to get down to 62#. That bow should adjust 60-70#. You will need a cam swap to get down to 28" DL. When I changed cams on mine, I got them from someone on Archery Talk for around $50.
