Ok guys. My son and daughter are on their school bass fishing team and have a tournament down on lake martin in a couple of weeks. Im going to take them saturday to try to find some fish and maybe put some kind of pattern together. I have fished lake martin one time in my life and that was many years ago. Any help on where to try and what to try would be appreciated. We will be launching for the practice at wind creek.

I fished a tournament this time last year since the water is way down I'd fish a shaky head around visible trees really slow that's how they caught em last year anyways

C rigs and Spinnerbaits are my go to this time of the year. You can stay in Windcreek and catch plenty of fish. Or fishing Shakey or crankbait on rocky points.

Go under 280 bridge and hang a right into the first big slough. There's a sunken road bed that crosses the slough about halfway to the back. You'll see it on the depth finder with ease. It should be holding fish this time of year.

Slow roll a war eagle around some cover and pitch a small jig.

I have never fished Martin but if it's anything like Harris throw a fish-head spin/fluke combo over humps & road beds near deep water, Spots love them.

A jerk bait on main lake points near deep water would probably do some good to
