Id have to go with either a Remington 700, or model 7 in 7mm-08. Good mid sized caliber. Reduced recoil loads available off the shelf so is friendly to shoot for kids or adults. Either gun will last longer than most of us will with normal shooting.

I would go with a 3006. You can find loadings in all weights of bullets. It can be found every where and will take any North American Game. I would go with a good basic bolt action rifle. Browning Winchester or Remington are all good. I don't personally know much about the others out there but I suspect that almost anything you get now days would be a good if not a great rifle. I do not currently have a 3006 except a 1903a3 that my dad got new from army surplus in about 1957. That said the 3006 is my favorite caliber and is easy to reload. You can't go wrong with it. Right now I love my .280 Remington (7mm Remington Express). It does everything the 7mm Remington Mag.with out the recoil and noise. It was built on a 1903 Springfield action.

Depends on what I will use it for but I would love to have a Ruger SR762

Barret 50 BMG. And about 1000 rounds to go in it.
