Been using Rubo's in Ft Gaines. Want to try the place in Midland City on 231 because it's about 2 miles from me. Anyone know good ones?

The Midland City one you are talking about is good but expensive. I forget the name of it.

HOPCO in Headland on 431 is cheaper and still good. It's where you see all the EMU oil signs.

Used to use HOPCO but everyone claims you don't get your deer there, just meat somewhat close to the same weight as what they can get from what you brought in.

Any more details on the one on 84? I hunt in Abbeville mostly but I lived near Pinckard between 231 and 84.

D&W meat processors in wicksburg is really good as well for anyone in the area. Dale county......really near coffee, geneva, and Houston countys though

135 Sandbed rd, Newton, al. (334) 692-9977

Address is screwy......it's closer to wicksburg.......and the store front is on us 84.

The best in the Dothan/Abbeville/Skipperville area is Indian Creek Processing. It is Edwin, AL -- 10 miles West of Abbeville. Take Hwy 10 towards Blue Springs, turn Right on Cty Rd 75 towards Edwin. He is 2 miles down on the left. Cleanest place I have ever seen - they do a great job. You get your deer. He will let you look around, very clean and good sausage/cube stk, burger.

Don't forget The Smokin' Hole outside of Blue Springs. Jimmy's Smoke House @ Midland City is good too.

Holy cow...just got the call from Jimmy's. $263 for backstraps and tenderloins whole, cube what they can, and smoked sausage the rest. Going to have to go get a lotto ticket first.

You can buy Conecuh hog sausage cheaper at Wal Mart than you can have a deer processed into smoked link sausage..
