I'm not trying to stir anything just a serious question because I don't follow Bama too closely, who is Bama going to start at QB next year? Do the have some younger recruit coming in or is it going to be Coker?

There should be a good qb competition in the spring between Coker, Bateman, Morris, Cornwell, and Barnett.

Spring and fall practice will answer that. Coker may be the favorite, but he has some very good competition behind him.

Several younger guys are in the mix (cooper bateman, alec morris, david cornwell, blake barnett). Coker will likely be the starter next year though (sure hope he's improved over this season though)

Very valid question Crenshaw. Unless Coker channels his inner Blake Simms and improves immensely, he'll have a better chance back at fsu. I think (hope) one of the younger guys realize the opportunity and seizes it during the spring.

I saw Blake Barnett on the "Elite 11" program and he was pretty impressive

better question is, why didn't Saban make a bid on Muschamp? Kirby Smart should be ashamed to get his check after the iron bowl and the sugar bowl.

And who is going to coach the DB's? Not sure that Saban's methods work with the new offensive schemes these days

Maybe because he has already had Muschamp as his DC, and thinks more of Kirby's ability than he does of Muschamp's.

I think it is more likely because he couldn't afford him and quite honestly doesn't need him.

I do too so we're not in the same position trying to find a starter in 2016. I'd like to see Kiffen develop this kid for a few years.

I see at least 2 or 3 qb's transferring in the off-season. Too many highly-ranked prospects on the roster and not enough playing time to go around

Damn, that it a selfish thing for a 'fan' to say. The kid could have gone just about anywhere and chose Bama and now the 'fans' are pulling against him.

I just hope they find a qb who can actually read a defense and find the open man not just throw it to your first option.

Nobodies pulling against Coker, we would just prefer a younger cat win the job and give the position stability for a few years. But if Coker wins the job then I'm quite certain he'll be supported.
