We got back from Arkansas Sunday evening. We had a good goose shoot in Stuttgart. Then we went to Newport and for the next 3 days the ducks weren't flying. We shot well and only killed 9 ducks. They need some really cold weather up that way to get some ducks in the area. My son had a blast on his first trip! Even though the ducks weren't flying, he never complained and he's ready to go back! I'm a happy dad! Here's a few pics from our goose hunt

Awesome we got back Sunday night...y'all did better than us! Think we ended up with 14-16 ducks(mallards&teal). Decided to try out a goose guide..should have got in the truck and went back to the camp when he "guaranteed" geese. Probably the only ppl in the world to goose hunt a flooded rice field and kill two wood ducks mad Needless to say, I will never go back to this place. Had to laugh to keep from crying lol. Congrats on the hunt!

Love the specks! Wish I could hunt them more. Tasty little boogers!

Y'all aren't alone in not killing much. Lot of folks coming home early right now. Need a good push bad. All those birds have been there since the beginning to middle of November. They're not even in Mo-Mo right now. Heard a couple reports of migrators heading back north the last couple weeks.

We seen more today than in recent weeks, killed 22 with 2 specks hitting the flooded rice. The snows and blues were working next to us and gave a few shots. Talked with another guy that is near Black Oak and their numbers went up since Saturday.

However, most reported very few birds. We probably shot more than OK hunting club again which is not the norm.

A friend from Green Bay joined us today, said most of the waters had reopened and snow melted. We're hoping they have a White Christmas.

I went over friday with plans to stay until christmas eve. I came back sunday. Arkansas needs about 10 inches of rain while everywhere north of there freezes up.
