I would suggest shooting whatever bow you choose before you buy it.

I would suggest shooting whatever bow you choose before you buy it. Xs 11ty bazillion!! Getting something which doesn't feel right or fit you is not going to help you like shooting a bow, or use your money efficiently. God Bless, David B.

I suggest going to an archey pro shop and let them determine your draw lenght. Shoot several brands before you decide. A bow is like a pair of shoes, if it doesnt fit you you will not be comfortable with it.Buying your first bow from evay is not a good idea. just my opinion.

After much debate I've decided to make a trip to BassPro tomorrow evening & try several different bows. Any suggestions on which bows I should shoot that will be within my $500 budget?

Skip Bass Pro and go to Grabows in Fultondale. Do they have more knowledgable staff or something? Most definitely. Bass Pro will have some part timer that won't know the difference between a limb pocket and an arrow rest.
