Depending on the spot, I don't like to hunt the same stand more than once every two weeks. A Lot of times when I have had to answer the "call", I noticed it will be gone the next time I hunt. Coyotes probably eat it.

Where I hunt in Namibia, the Professional Hunter insists you dig a hole at least 12" deep and bury everything. Luckily, it's semi- desert, so the digging is easy

Not a foot deep though. Just enough to get it covered. I reason that the microbes and bacteria break it down much quicker. But who knows?
