Wanting to buy a new pair of waders and wondering what brand people are having the best luck out of. Tried reading some reviews but they all seem to be hit or miss on the pair.

I have a pair of Cabelas supermags that I've worn for years that have been great, just now developed a leak. Going to try a pair of Frogg Togg breathables this year.

Breathables and don't consider anything else unless you plan hunting somewhere further north than Alabama. On my second season with the frogg togg breathables and I will never wear neoprene again.

Been hunting in Frogg Togg's Bull Toggs Neo 5mm(Bottomland pattern) for about 6 yrs now. Have put them through the hells of waterfowl hunting. Best money I've ever spent! No leaks yet!

Mack's Prairie Wings Big Ditch waders would be my second option! However, the warranty of Cabelas waders are hard to beat...too bad they only offer them in that awful camo patterns.

Thanks guys, hadn't even thought about the Frogg Toggs and they are also a lot cheaper than the Lacrosse/Drake

I've neverhad problem with Drake branded gear. Now I've never used their waders as i use hodgmans. Now admitted i usually purchase my Drake gear when academy has it marked down at end of season. Been lucky enough to get 30-50% off it in my size. Doing it that way saves a ton of funds. Otherwise i wouldn't have purchased as much as i have.

LaCrosse for the past many years, neoprene is much bette than those rubber coated things of the past.

Just picked up a pair of Drake, I'll see. Talked into by a duck hunting product salesman that carries most major brands. He can choose any brand and that's what he said he liked. We will see. I only paid half price. beers

I got a pair of MPW breathables last year, after wearing neoprene waders every other season, I'll never wear neoprene again unless I'm way north hunting.

Mack's are the best IMO. Love the Big Ditch.

I bought a pair of Hodgman breathables last year before teal season and they leaked right out of the box. Buddy bought the same pair and his did the same thing. Love the fit and weight of them but I've never had a pair of waders leak that much. Like somebody pouring cups of water into them. I'll wear breathables again but they won't be Hodgmans.

I've had Redheads and that's like walking around with cinder blocks on your feet. Never again. Glad they work for some people but not for me.

I just bought a pair of Lacrosse this year from the Breakroom for 60% off and like the way they fit. Haven't put them in the water yet but seem well built and easy to walk in. Lacrosse is making the Mack's waders this year.

I have had several pair of Lacrosse neoprene waders over the years and I don't think the new ones hold up as well as the older brush-tuffs. I still have a pair but don't wear them much. I switched to breathables a few seasons ago. I had a pair of Macks breathables but they started leaking in the second season, plus the boots are very stiff. I bought a pair of Cabelas breathables last season and love them. The boots are comfortable and plenty of room for layering.

I posted earlier before I read through. My wife got a me pair of readheads from BP on sale for Christmas last year. They were back ordered and didn't get them till March. Havn't had them in water yet. They are the kind with the all camo boot. I wore them around in the house for awhile, felt fine. My lacross had been leaking and getting worse. Guess I will know Thanksgiving morn. wink
