No. Not sure why we haven't seen any at our place. Saw a ton of them up in the cornfields of N Alabama.

Well at my place its hard to see them. I can get on 4 wheeler and ride around the farm where the fields are and see anywhere form 150 to 300+ get up out of the fields. BUT there are a lot of wood lines in between them and seems like in the heat of the day, they just hanging out in the shade of the trees, but I been riding around in the evening and mornings.

In other news I think I heard some guys open up season a little early today. At first I thought it was skeet, but if it was it was taking a lot of shots to break that clay bird, and they would shoot a bunch for a few minutes then may not shoot none for 20 minutes, then pop off again about 5 to 15 times. So not sure what they was doing, but it sure sounded like opening day. smile

They probably aren't to many geese floating around, BUT you may be right, that may have been what it was.

Ever since that cold front a few weeks ago the birds have been scarce around here. I think they're calling for mid 90s this weekend gonna suck.

Why do you say no geese? Every farm pond and hay field in lee county has groups of around 50 on them.

Why sure they do. Same here. UNTIL, the shooting starts. After a couple shots, the geese leave town for the rest of the day around here. These guys shot off and on for I know two hours. I'm serious, one shot and the geese get gone for the day.
