I drive a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. Since I can remember when I am running the air conditioner - it's like the heat suddenly switches on and the cold air stops. The fan is still running but it gets hot as crap. Was hoping someone would have the answer or it would be an easy fix, but I am guessing not. I have put up with it for a long time and it's just too hot out there to keep ignoring it. Any help appreciated.
It's a sanctuary.

Turn the truck off and crank it back up as a temporary fix. This works - but as you said, it's temporary. It's just getting too hot to keep doing that.

Thought I posted it here, but I didn't find it. Here's a thread from another forum on resetting it. Blend Door issue? If you have dual zone climate control, and the passenger side stays cold and driver side gets hot, the actuator on the passenger side (just to the rt of the transmission hump) is the bad one and is fairly easy to change. If driver side stays cold and passenger side gets hot, learn to live with it...the actuator is under the dash behind the radio and entire dash must come off to replace.

The part itself is like $100-160 I bought 2 of them. You will have to take the whole dash off to get to it. If doing it your self take 3-4 hours to get it done and save some money. This is on a 2003 Avalanche which has 2 of them.
