we will see this year.. but I guess a team cant have a bad year and come back the next? Maybe if we didn't have as many injuries things would be different. Hell the barn sucked without injuries.

I'm just picking at you, Ian. I know Florida normally circles the Georgia game on the schedule every year so changing the must win game to Georgia Southern won't be too big a stretch. smile

Anybody consider Simms may be ahead because he's been in the system for 5 years and Coker's been in it for 3 weeks? He should be MILES ahead as far as knowing the scheme, checks, protections, etc., and that's mostly all we're talking about here. I don't think anyone believes Simms is going to be a better option once Jake gets all the nuances figured out. Only question is can he do that before Thursday week. My guess is, no. They will both play in the first game or 3. If he hasn't separated himself before Sep 20th when UF comes to town I may change my tune, but that would be a long shot IMO. These scrimmages are scripted to expose certain areas that a player or a unit need to improve in. In other words Kiffen ain't out there calling plays Coker has down pat, he's putting him in uncomfortable positions intentionally. So, you can speculate off stats from a situational scrimmage if you want, it means nothing.

BartMan I think you are exactly right. I think any QB on the Bama roster could lead the team over WV, Fl Atl, and So Miss while preparing for Florida. You could just hand the ball off to Yeldon, Henry, and Drake along with Jones and the other RB's and win those 3 games.

You guys can spin it however you like it. The fact that Coker hasn't stepped in and won the job has to be concerning. You don't recruit a 5th year player hoping he can come in to fill the backup roll.

You used to be a much better fisherman. Besides, he's a 4th year player.

IF you really think Saban cares abut what the boosters think you are delusional and anyway as long as they win nobody cares......

That's just because saban told him to tank everything on tape to make it look bad. Surely you've heard of reverse psychology Reb.

Heck no, ain't nobody got time for dat.

I pulling for him, I don't dislike him. But hitting a deep post route 19/20 times means nothing if you always miss the first time. There's a huge difference in practice performance and game day performance, his game day performance doesn't look top 25 caliber, much less top 2 caliber.
