I put some pumpkins in yesterday. Hope to have some ready by the first of October. I planted some last year and bugs got in them. I have the Sevin ready this year. Planted some Casper(white) pumpkins for my wedding in the fall. First time with those so we'll see how they do.

Anyone else plant pumpkins?

You're gonna have a lot of carving to do this fall! What kind did you plant?

Planted a bunch of Connecticut field, jack-o-lantern, and also a few mini ones and hopefully some whites and grey if the seeds come up.

Have any of you ever grown any square pumpkins? I tried it with gourds and it works pretty good. Build a box using 2x12 material and screw the boards together at the corners so the pumpkin won't push the box apart. Put the box around a small pumpkin and when it grows out to the box size, it will press it flat on the sides.

It makes for an interesting conversation piece.

Planted mine after Halloween last year. I have two volunteer plants from where I threw the seeds and old jackolantern a in the garden! guess I will put my fall decorations out in Aug this year.

Gonna plant a few next week for my Grandbaby.

My wife planted a couple of rows about 10 days ago. Sprigs are about an inch tall right now. I think she planted some kind of white/blue ones and some Jack-O-Lanterns.

Wish I would of read this in march when I started my pumpkins. I've got two at about 20lbs already.

Well my pumpkins are coming along and starting to run a little bit. A few even have some small pumpkins getting ready to flower.

Oh yeah, very nice. Ours are about the same size.
