I've been away from the game for 12 years and I feel like it's time to pick them back up. My business is running pretty smooth (knock on wood) and I feel like I can get away and play some. I use to have a 3 handicap but I know it's gonna take some time to get back to that point (if ever). Practice green and range here I come.

I use to have a 3 handicap. That's pretty dang good Paschal...... I got down to a 4 around 08'....09'.... And then my kids started getting old enough to play ball and took me out of it.... It was either hunting....or golf..... I put the clubs down....

When I owned my own business I would play three to four times a week taking customers or vendors would take me. I constantly was buying the latest and greatest gear that my accountant wanted to know who Edwin Watts was and did I want to send him a 1099. I never got below a ten handicap in my twenty years of playing and walked away from it some years ago.
When I'm out of town working during the summer I occasionally will go to the local range and knock a few around to waste some time. I don't really miss the game and no longer have the drive or the passion like I do for fishing and hunting and besides that I would rather spend my money on something I'm decent at doing.
The best I ever shot was a 78 at Indian hills in Destin. The next week at the RTJ Cambrian ridge in Greenville on the canyon course I shot someone's area code.

I'll go...I've hit a few around the yard but that inevitably turns into throwing them in the air and shooting them with #8s. They will go a looooog way like that.

Been on a golf course twice in my life... I quit both times after bout the 3rd hole.. And found myself scouting bullfrogs and bass in the ponds.
I did cut across a golf course one night to get to my dogs treed on the other side of it..
It's for some folks but not for me.
