This survey is 7 questions about deep sea fishing charters. A few buddies of mine have been thinking about trying to do something to increase the demand on Charter Fishing. No, I didn't mean for that to sound pissy. I've actually gotten several responses to the survey. I see what you mean, now. People are clicking on the survey link. I'm not talking about replies on this aldeer board. Sorry for the confusion!

Band together with about 2000 other gulf charter captains and disobey the fed by going snapper fishing. At the same time launch a massive class action suit against them. Tie them up in court and on the water.

Onerous regulations + Boston Tea Party = change
Onerous regulations + Gulf Charter-Snapper Party = possible change
In the mid-late 1990s I'd drive the sixish hours from Huntspatch to O.B or G.S. to fish a few days and write about the charter captains. We had a good number of residents up here who vacationed, fished and some had boats there. Then I started hearing "Man, it's tougher to do that" when the regs started changing.
Now, with the regulations and limits, I wouldn't at all. I don't even think about doing any offshore stuff anymore, which is sad. It can be fun. If I were going to do anything it would be inshore for reds, trout, sheeps, sharks, etc.

Thanks! We have a long and tough row to hoe. We're trying to come up with anything. Inshore fishing is awesome, and much cheaper. I love it, but there is nothing like being out in the middle of the gulf at sunrise or sunset for me. I know exactly what you mean, though.
