I am pretty sure this is the bird i missed opening day. Was wondering what has been going on, only hearing this turkey gobble a few times each trip. Seeing TONS of sign though, knew there were other gobblers in the area. ANyway, got on him at daylight, he was roosted in same tree when i missed and i was sitting on same tree. He WAS not coming in to the road i missed on after flydown, he stayed 65 yds with a hen and another longbeard that kept his distance from him. All he does is drum louder than any other turkey ive heard after flydown. Long story short, i stuck with him till 145 and found him and the other longbear in a small field without the hen. A few cluck and purs and he slowly fed and walked to me from 100 yards. 10.5" beard, 1 spur 1.5" and 1 spur 1 3/8"   Now i think i have a good idea why it has been so quiet this year, with this turkey being the one who starts the gobbling and nothing else on the place gobbles
