My wife and I had the talk before we got married too. Every once in a while she will gripe a little and I always tell her she knew how I was before we got married. Overall all though she is awesome about it and I can't complain a bit. I used to do too much. I deer and turkey hunted almost everyday of the season, fished a few tournaments a week and usually practiced the other days, I played golf and men's softball as well. I've really cut back in the last couple years though. I still don't miss many days of deer and Gurkey season but have really slacked off on the rest.

MMmm, I don't know doc. A lot to be done in February. NWTF convention, scouting, patterning the guns, working new chokes/loads, getting cameras out, working on your TAV, on and on. I would see if she wouldn't mind you celebrating your anniversary in July. smile

Oh no Yekrut, the calls are like sweet music playin. But I guess to untrained ears and someone who don't understand the passion it is just an annoying sound. Especially now that I kinda sound like a turkey. When I first got the calls last summer, I was sitting under the patio and started makin sounds, my old lab came running around the house and me wife and kids came runnin out the door wanting to know what that noise was. When she saw it was me I saw the look of relief on her face. I asked her what the heck is wrong. She started laughin at me and said" I thought you done ran over the dog". But I can tell y'all after a year of practicing I am the best turkey caller in my house. rofl

I told my wife when we started dating from September through April she wouldn't see me much unless she went hunting. She does from time to time but she's too damn lazy most of the time.

True story: I told my wife when we were dating to remember... Hunting was my first love and she was my second. That can never be changed. That was 25 years ago and she is still here. What a Trooper smile

If you only knew.....
I dated many a women that left me either mid November...or mid April.... When I dated one for over a five years that didn't leave..... I married her... If she wasn't leaving by then....she was a keeper... And rarely says a word about my hunting..... When she does.... Guess I'll be single again....

My wife knows that she can ask me to do whatever she wants any other month of the year and I will more than likely go along....but turkey season is out. We got married, had kids, went on dates, went to other weddings, bought a house, do everything around turkey season. We don't even go on dates during turkey season so I can get up early and won't be tired, Season is to short to be wasting it on getting married and stuff.... IMO getting married during turkey season is like getting herpes, it just keeps on giving.
