My wife bought me the most expensive Christmas present ever. A Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Survival knife. It seemed pretty sturdy for a china made. The belt loop though was made out of elastic similar to your underwear waistband. Anyways I put it on my belt for the Bankhead Hog hunt. 2hrs. later it was gone sheath and all. I spent the rest of the day searching every mountain I climbed hoping only to find my Knife. Anyways instead of crying I filled out a Gerber warrenty form. They say they dont cover lost knifes but Ill see if they will back their product due to a sorry belt loop. You would think the Ultimate survival Knife would last more than Two Hours in the Alabama mountains. But then again Survivor Man had to be rescued from the Dekalb co. mountain range, maybe he was carring the Bear Grylls Ultimate Survival Knife.

I bought something once that was endorsed by a TV personality.

It was a "Lost In Space" ray-gun. It lasted about 2 hours too.
If I ever get my hands on the Will Robinson kid imma kick his ass.

Sorry to hear that. I feel bad for your wife, also. I hope it turns up.

Very good survival blade for the money.

ETA: Bear Grylls is a jerkoff, wouldn't buy anything with his name on it.

Gerber LMF II is a much better knife for about 70 bucks and is American made. Great sheath also.

Ontario Knife Company ASEK knife is top notch also for about 100 dollars. American made.

T.O.P.S. knives are first rate but expect to spend about 150-200. American made. I have the ATC SGFive and if is a fantastic knife.

Sorry about your BC knife, that sucks losing something like that especially a gift from family.

yeah my wife was real proud she bought me that knife, even though I was thinking it was too big to carry around deer hunting. I hope she's not thinking I ditched it. The Belt loop really is a joke, for a $60+ knife.

I have an ESEE, that I really like, and I like the orange handles on the Venom series but I just cant get past the fluorescent yellow/green color of the knife.

Well the first man comes along that can read Latin is welcome to rob us, far as I'm concerned. I'd like a chance t' shoot at a educated man once in my life.
