For those that have hunted them, what state did you go to? Did you hunt public land or outfitted? If you have a place and don't want it posted, feel free to pm me. Thanks for all info on the subject.

I've been to a couple of nice areas around Hell's Canyon Reservoir on the Idaho side that were outstanding. There is a number of good spots open to the public as well as some places that do self or guided hunts on properties in the area.

Ive merriam hunted in Nebraska Pine Ridge and the Sand Hills, Wyoming , and SD. I prefer the Pine Ridge of Nebraska myself.

Last time I hunted Nebraska, I could have limited out the first afternoon.
The sheer amount of birds that live in the Pine Ridge region of Nebraska was amazing. Enjoyed all my trips there. Killed some beautiful turkeys to. I hear SD is better but I wouldn't know.
While deer hunting last fall where we turkey hunted, I saw one flock and told a buddy that had never been there to look at all those longbeards. He thought I was lying. Probably 75 (with some jakes mixed in to) in one bunch. Of course about 1/4 mile down the road there was probably 200 hens in one bunch.
