2011 Z71 4x4 everything stock. I average 17+ in mixed city/hwy driving. Highway driving (not interstate), I can get 19.5-20 mpg. I don't drive like a bat out of hell and I only run non-ethanol fuel.

Sorry to go off on a slight tangent but I now drive a 2500 diesel and love it! I get a consistent 22 mph which is about like getting 17-18 mph considering the cost difference with gasoline. Not to mention diesel vehicles don't depreciate as quickly (or has a longer life) and needs about half the maintenance. In other words, I recommend them for long term cost savings. Short term is a different story. I agree except for the maintenance part
