You can still kill them with a bow or muzzle loader

Is a 110 doe tags not enough? There are bag limits for just about all animals in this state.

Would that be PRIVATE land that happens to be leased ?

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

When you haven't seen a doe to shoot and need one for the freezer I don't see anything wrong with following the game laws and taking one

It is that EXACT scenario that is the reason NOT to shoot one.

Do you think the die off in some areas from EHD might have been due to population density....

I guess you would rather me shoot one of our small bucks that we have been letting walk. We have let two sixes, an eight, another small buck walk this year. I did shot a spike (first deer with a bow) this year. Me and my family eat deer meat year round and just need one more and figured a doe would be better than a small buck.

If you are seeing multiple bucks on a regular basis, but NO does all season long.......

Yes, you would be better served to kill a buck.

Think about this real slow for a minute:

YOU are the one complaining about not seeing any deer and the population being so low.
I am the one trying to tell you not to take out the baby factory that deer come from.

Now, why the sarcasm???

Because you are an ass that seems to know everything. I never said we didn't have any does, just that I personally have not seen one. The other guys I hunt with have seen some but don't eat deer as much so they didn't shoot.

So, I guess the 'ass' side of me should just tell you, like some of the others, that you are a crappy hunter that could not kill a deer if he was shut up in the room with you and that with your pitiful hunting skills you don't even deserve to kill a deer???

But, I try to refrain from that type of personal attack. smile

I guess. I never claimed to be the greatest hunter. All this started with me wanting to kill one deer so I can have more meat in the freezer. To each his own

And I hope that you get to fulfill your wish!

I ain't mad at you.
Just trying to give you some friendly advice based on the information you provided.

For all I know, your place may be over-run with deer and a terribly doe-heavy Buck:Doe ratio and you are a really bad hunter.
But, I'd rather believe that you are at least a good guy with decent hunting skills at the least and that you hunt in a low deer density area (as indicated by the fact that you claim to have not seen a doe but to have seen numerous bucks).

Good hunting to you!
