I'm looking at a place about halfway between Eufaula and Clayton on HWY 30. How is the hunting in this area? I would appreciate any information.

We have a lease off hwy 30. We kill some good bucks but the pressure is pretty high from other clubs and would be nice if they would extend the season so we can see a rut in february.

Where was that one killed?

thats a good spot.i checked on a club last week.exactly were u are talking about.really like the area..the guy called me the next day and told me he gave my spot away to one of there old hunting buddies.even though i had talked to 2-3 weeks earlier and was supposed to be on the list

Lots of clearcut in the area in the last 2-3 years, and lots more to come on Dixon land leases. If it's private owned land it would be ok but if it's Dixon or other timber company land, be prepared for a cut.
