I really love pistol hunting, but back in Feb. [almost a year] I had my hand operated on, in Sept. when I was zeroing my other guns getting ready for deer season this thing really hurt the hand that was operated on, my 44 didn't hurt so this one needs to go. I saw one a few post down in 243,if someone wanted to try something new they couldn't go wrong with either one of these ,the one I have for sale has 5 kills and my 44 mag. has 14 kills. Taking an animal with a hand gun is very memorable and exciting,remember the first couple you got with a rifle ? you can have it again . I am aSelling my Thompson Center Encore chambered in 7mm 08,it is a necked down 308 to 28 cal.,ammo is easy to find .the barrel is 15 inches long and has great rifling in it, walnut handle and forearm, it is topped with a Nikon 2.5 x 8 x32 handgun scope .The only scratch is where it opens and it is light .The wood has very light nicks at the bottom of handle, the forearm has 2 light dents next to the screw closest to frame ,all are very minor , the frame is scratch less other than where it opens and closes . call 256 538 7856 ( I work ) and leave message on machine and a # where I can reach you thanks asking 575.00.i did it ,copy and paste ,is that how you did the pictures ?

I love it and wish I had the $ to buy it!! I hunt with a S&W .500 magnum from time to time. It's a huge rush to kill a deer with a pistol!!!

I've got an encore I hunt with too.Started out with a 12'' barrel in .44 mag with a 2x leupold scope.Easy to hit targets with but hard to get on a deer unless he's in the wide open.That don't happen much where I hunt.Maybe a scope with a little moe magnification would help.Last year I picked up a 10'' barrel for it.Still in .44 mag.It carries better and I've been shooting it with open sights,just have to limit the range a little.
