Most of the folks that do that get together and try to drive deer past some standers when they get bored during the midday. We used to carry a plastic milk jug with gravel in it-shaking it as we walked-to get deer up and moving in grown up cutover. It will work if your standers can hit a running deer.

Thought that was illegal on WMAs.

Thought that was illegal on WMAs. Once hunters start walking around at 8:00 they are doing the same thing. I used to have a tract that laid inside a WMA and there is no telling how many deer the hunters pushed over us just walking around looking at things. They were unaware they were making a drive right to us.

I hate it when they do it. they push thru places where other hunters are and when they jump one shoot the woods up not knowing if they are shooting towards someone as they push. We always climbed high and wore a lot of orange. Killed a truck load of deer back in those days.
I can't stand a thief.

Most of the time people push clear cuts. If you are set up in a tree on the edge of one being pushed you are in a good spot. We pushed some clear cut a couple of weeks ago on cahaba. There's nothing unsafe about it. Not everyone wants to sit in a tree all day.

People have been doing man drives for as long as people have been hunting. Myself along with other people on here have been part of man drives in the past I am sure and when done right is as safe as any other kind f hunting. There have also been millions of deer killed that was moving when they were shot. Climbing 20' up a tree and sitting all day is not the only way to hunt.
If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.
