Is it more effective in your house where it is warm the night before you go hunting? or does it matter?

My wife found some in my backpack ....she asked if it worked,i said heck no it is a gimmick and poured it out of shooting house window......about 15 minutes later we had a spike come running into the field blowing and going crazy.....he would run to the back of the green field ,then come running wide open to the shooting house .....he did this for about 1 hour

I have hunted many a day with no results from it and have even had a deer spook she smelled it. But 4 or 5 years ago I had a nice 8 coming through a thick bottom, when he was directly downwind of the Tinks he turned put his nose in the air and came straight at it. I wouldn't have gotten a shot at him if it wouldn't have been there.

LOL SFC...Im not sure 1 time out of 40 years of hunting that I think it worked is a great deal of success. Iv'e peed in scrapes and they've stopped and smelled it, I dip mint Skoal and have had several does come to the base of my tree where I was spitting. LOL I've even seen a deer lick the grease off the grease fittings of logging equipment. I think a lot has to do with how skittish they are at the time. Weve all seen deer trying to eat a game cam.

Some people put out scent and then expect every buck around to come running to it. Reactions vary. I've seen them ignore it and seen the come to it on a string. Not Tinks though.
