...there should be a BOUNTY put on them. The government tried this on Ft Benning a few years ago, it worked well for a bit. Unfortunately, some 'nefarious' characters and game processors were caught in a scheme so that pig tails from hogs not killed on post were being brought in for bounty collection. Ass clowns. That being said, if it were statewide, I imagine there may not be an issue. x2 to using supressors/baiting/night hunting If you want to get rid of them, hunt'em like you mean it.

I agree with most said above, with feed, at night, no permit, use dogs, whatever it takes. I had no experience with hogs till about 5 years ago when I started hunting Kbushs place on Clark county near the river. I was like most that hadnt killed one and was excited to get the opportunity. It was neat having another "big game" animal to hunt and I enjoyed it for a short time. It didnt take me long though to understand his disdain and hatred for them. On top of the destruction to fields, property, and anything not bolted down they will ruin a deer hunt. Not always, but sometimes deer dont react well to them and will be run off a field or out of the area. Theres nothing like having a bunch of does in a field the last week of January during the rut just to hear something coming through the woods and it be 15 or 20 pigs that run them all off. We would shoot everyone we seen including (with permit) at night with feed. It didnt knock a dent in them, the only way is going to be whole sounder trapping with equipment like you use EH.

I say u should be able to transport them so u can feed them out and get some of the game taste out of em. Other than that I say hunt em anyway u want. But my question is what is so wrong with using a dog that is trained to hunt only hogs and Will Not Hunt anything else? They don't put any more pressure on deer than what u would by u goin check traps daily. And when the hogs figure the whole trap thing out (and trust me they will learn to not go in a trap.) then what? U can't control em by shooting them. Unfortunately, the bad guys have messed this up for everyone I am afraid. This not directed toward you BayedUp! It amazes me that folks actually think hogs move on their own that much. Heck, they have shown up in New Mexicao and Idaho in the past year. They stayed in Florida and Bama for 500+ years and now all of a sudden they start taking off across country. Sure they do!

I'm still waiting to see evidence we have a hog problem. I'd like to hunt em. You shouldn't have to wait long.If you don't have hogs you should be thankful. If you see one hog it is too late, you have more than you want.
Be safe & have fun
