BF Goodrich in Tuscaloosa announced its laying off 10% of its 1100 person workforce. Our good governor claims to be bringing in all these great jobs, but it seems to me that alot of the good jobs are leaving. International Paper, BF Goodrich, who's next?

IP was not a big shock. The paper industry has been struggling for several years, especially white paper/newsprint plants. Why is BFG laying off?

89 people are being laid off at Goodrich. I would say what the real reason is, but it would totally blow this thread up and derail it. wink

millions are NOT signing up..so your full of chit.

They wont even release how many have signed up...just that 2.6 million people went to the bogus azz non working site. Theyre afraid to show how many of those have actually signed up. And a lot are complaining because their health care costs are going UP.

I still believe you are a paid poster and just joined 2 weeks ago so you could bring your propaganda BS here and try to infuriate people

Where were all of you Republicans when Romney did ACA in Mass.??? I never heard a peep of outrage over that seven years ago. So, why is it all of a sudden the end of the world?

They say it's due to tire production being down over all. They've been stock piling tires for years.

Yup, high gas prices, stagnant economy, economic uncertainty due to democratic policies, obamacare, and stress from union pressures will hurt a big company with small margins. Hate it for those guys, maybe they can find a job somewhere. It could happen to any of us.

It's nothing new. They had a layoff several years ago. They hired several of them back the last layoff.
