Been fishing the 100% payout open weekday tourneys here lately.
I don't have any pictures, didn't have time to take any. Bite was on fire yesterday! Couldn't even tell ya how many we caught, but it was one after another mostly in the 2-3 lb range, with a little one here and there. Best fish landed was 4.8 for me, broke off on a 5 or 6lbr using a 20lb fluro leader, I'm done with fluorocarbon, I have not found a knot that holds no matter what. So wound up throwing straight braid rest of the day, didn't make a difference, still biting it very good.

We did not place tho lol. Big fish yesterday was 8.6 and they had another close to 8 lb kicker fish. Almost 19lb with 3 fish. Unreal bag for this time of year. Awesome day on the big G.

Jig jig jig jig
See yall on the water, take care

I_hate, ever try a fat alberto knot? I have had really good luck with it braid to flouro and braid to mono. Fairly easy to tie and I've never had the knot break. Makes a tiny knot as well.

Never heard of it, I'll look it up on YouTube. My trouble is at the hook, I use double uni knot to splice together, it holds good. I've tried several different knots with fluro, but it breaks on me almost every time at the hook, I must be doing something wrong, idk. The knot will hold up on first fish most of the time, but breaks on the next fish or two. I think I'm just gonna stick with mono leaders

I have no use for Flouro in my boat. I've tried every brand on the market and it's awful. Terribly brittle and terrible knot strength.

There is nothing in the world that I can't catch with braid or mono.

Use Seaguar Abrazx.... Expensive but will change your mind on fluoro..... I use 20lb at Guntersville for jigs, cranking, and spinners. Never had a problem... Also when tying knots make sure the line is wet......

I quit using Flouro a couple of years ago. Very undependable! Tried several different knots, retied several times throughout the day and it would seem to break unexpectedly with very little pressure at times.

Always wet it brother. Still have problems. It may be somethin on my end I'm doin wrong, just don't know. I've tried a bunch of different kinds, always breaks, and it hurts when it's a good one. When I broke yesterday, the fish came and flopped twice trying to spit the jig out, it was a good one. Figures tho, went straight braid and still got bit a lot, but not another one like that. I did manage to catch one rite at 5 lb. Coulda used that 6+ tho, or at least he looked 6+ when he jumped

I'll check out the line you mentioned

Google the San Diego Jam knot this one should solve your problems if breaking at the knot.

That's the knot I was showing you Matt. San Diego Jam Knot. It's awesome. I still won't use Fluro though.
