Sounds likke $300 of coyote bait I've always been told not to refreeze meat. Its happened to me a couple of times we just had a big cook out.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Just a thought, but check with your insurance co on reimbursement. I've heard of people doing that over lost meat from failed freezers. It doesn't get your meat back, but might help the wallet.
Anyone ever do that? I thought I read it on here before.... Great suggestion man! I will ask about it tomorrow.

Make a couple of burgers out of it and if you don't have the blowin out skidders and are teetering on pushing up dasies it might be OK. Solid advice...
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Before you eat it or cook any of it put it in the Nuker for one minute. Its amazing what 60 seconds of microwave will do to those nasty little ecoli critters.

If blood was leaking out, it's been off for a few days. After 27 Apr 2011, we know too well. Pitch it.

well, I grilled a burger last night out of the meat. I saved it for tonight because I don't have to work tommorrow. I just nuked it in the microwave for extra protection. I only ate half of it for a small sample tester...updates to follow

I refroze some after power was restored in the aftermath of the tornadoes. I gathered it up and stuck it in a cooler along with everything else in the freezer including some jug ice. After 4 days it was still cool and went right back in the freezer when the power was restored.

I think it depends a lot on the cleanliness of the preparation before it was froze and your personal constitution. I have a buddy that has no problems eating 2 week old leftovers, refrozen meat wouldn't make him think twice. I'd imagine it would lose taste appeal or stink when you cook it before it became really dangerous to eat.
