Kindof like signing on to a deer hunting forum to read about deer hunting and guns. And end up reading about God! Instances like these are scattered all throughout our lives. Sometimes we see them for what they are. Sometimes we don't, and that's a shame.

Thanks for the post. I think God speaks to us often sometimes we hear sometimes we don't, but he is a persistent God .

Very interesting for sure. Glad you got to experience it.
Don't confuse my user name with any sort of alphabet faggotry.
It only stands for drag racing, and Route 66 was my home track back in the day.

it always amazes me how GOD seems to put us in places at just the right time,to speak to people,or just run into someone needing a hand.GODS' love is amazing, and his ability to give us direction is just incredible, thanks for sharing this miracle, just by sharing you have touched someone, and that is the miracle of GODS work.
I would rather be turkey hunting

Not trying to hijack this thread but I feel like I need to share a story. I like many other hunters have gone through the phases and I was stuck in the want to kill a good buck phase. It all started Thanksgiving weekend 2003. I went to hunt with a buddy at his house. He didn't have any stands set up so I was gonna use a climber. I tied my gun on my rope, through the rope down and laid the rifle on top of it. So when I get up the tree and start pulling the rifle up it flopped over with that thud you hear and you know you just knocked your scope off zero. The hunt went on uneventful for me. He killed a doe so we went and looked for it after we found it I went home. Dejected after another fruitless hunt I told my wife I think God doesn't want me to kill a buck. She said well you can't give up. Fast forward a week Saturday rolled around, I woke up it was raining and the wind was blowing so I went back to bed. Now at this point we had become new parents a little over a month before. A lot of you know what I was going through at this point. Mommy was hard to deal with. Not sleeping, family members getting on her nerves, ragin one minute cryin the next. Well she happened to be in quite the mood that morning and we had words. I said forget this I'm goin huntin. So I packed the truck and headed out. As I was going down the highway I started praying. GOD spoke to me and said IF JESUS WERE IN THE SEAT NEXT TO YOU WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO HIM. I explained I was at my wits end and I needed help dealing with everything. A peace came over me and I felt everything was gonna be ok. A few miles down the road, after I thought the conversation was over, I said today would be a good day for a big 8 pt to walk out in front of me. God spoke to me again and said how about a 10pt. Being a doubting Thomas I said yeah right. When I got to the land the wind was blowing to beat the band. I thought I ain't gonna see anything and started back to the truck. Then I thought I ain't going home to deal with that. As I was getting my stuff together I felt drawn to a certain spot. I went back and forth signing different places on the board and none of them felt right. Finally I gave in and signed the spot I was being drawn to. I go to the spot and after a while the wind laid down and the sky brightened. About 10 minutes before dark the only deer I saw that day came out on the edge of the road I was watching. He started making a scrape and I couldn't tell how big he was. Finally he turned and something inside of me screamed shoot him! So I put the cross hairs on his shoulder and pulled the trigger and dropped him right there. Guess what, it was a 10 point that scored around 120 and weighed over 200 pounds. My shot hit him in the neck instead of the shoulder. Then I remembered my scoped was probably off. When I shot it later it was way off at 40 yards and I had shot the deer at 87 yards. What I got from all this besides my first good buck was, God is there when you need him and he will show himself to you in mysterious ways. If he can help some dumb ole redneck kill a deer, nothing is too small or trivial for him. He gave me a huge lift when I needed it, all I had to do was ask.
