My creek in front of the house is way out of the banks and still rising. I hope the pipe holds this time!

When I left the house this morning the water was less than a foot from the top of my drive across the creek. I figured it was going to get over it but I checked it at lunch and luckily it held.

With the work they did on the levee at Elba a few years ago I doubt they will ever have that problem again, but who knows. Hasn't been tested yet but it should be a better levee than the one they built in the 20's with mules and slip scoops. At my house in Coffee County, I had 2.25 inches day before yesterday and .75 yesterday. Nothing like those totals ya'll are getting in Dothan.

Elba should be fine with the improved levee. Every where else along the Pea and Conecuh may not be so lucky. The Conecuh is over the first flood terrace already which is just farmland, if it gets over the second terrace its gonna be ugly.
