If anyone hog hunts Bankhead and wouldn't mind somebody tagging along let me know. I have been wanting to hunt them for a while but have never been there and wouldn't have a clue where to start. Thanks,

Been doing a bit of research. Looks like camping out during the gun hunt in March is going to be my plan. Sounds like fun!

if you hunt on public land not management its never closed and youll have a very good chance of killin one.

I'm curious how far you typically have to hike in to see any hogs out there.

You might trip over one getting out of the truck or you could go for days without seeing one. But will see plenty of sign.

I may be going Feb. 21st-24th. I have hunted the black warrior wma before but never outside of that (in the BNF portion). Got a map and am ready to go!
