Last year she couldn't sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time. This year (now 6 years old) we sat from 10 minutes before daylight until three does came out at 7:30. I was not sure if I was going to shoot one or not because I didn't know how she would react. After watching them feed for about 15 minutes I asked her if she wanted me to shoot one. "Yes!" was the response I got. The deer went straight down after the shot and kicked for maybe 30 seconds before expiring. She said "daddy, I don't think you killed that one good enough.". Then when we went to the deer she saw the blood bubbling out of the wound and said "That looks like hot lava!". All in all a one of my favorites hunts ever.

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

That's super!!! Congrats to you for raising her right!!!

Take your kids hunting instead of hunting your kids.

I'd rather be LOST in the woods than FOUND in the city.
