Be willing to walk further in where the lazy guys won't go. Lots of hills in there, and it would be easy to get lost after dark - plan ahead for that.

When you think you have walked in far enough to get away from everyone, walk another 1/2 mile. I have hunted there for years and it is a beast to hunt. Find the white oaks right now, the deer are wearing them out on the sides of the mountains. First and second shelves off the top seem to be the best right now.

When you think you have walked in far enough to get away from everyone, walk another 1/2 mile. The problem with killing a deer in that kind of area is getting it out. I know that's where they can be found, but I've never wanted to kill one that bad. I want mine to die real close to the truck

Are you gun hunting?
This is one of the gun hunt weekends. I figured the place would be crawling ... one reason I'm staying away right now. Every deer in there probably is losing its mind right now.
