Looks like they are putting a top class together for 2013. I read where they are tied with USC for the most 5 stars committed with 3 each and there are only a total of 16 5 stars in the nation. Looks like the new coordinators are pulling their weight on the recruiting trail.

I've started more positive threads about Auburn in the last couple months than you have in the last 2 years. Hers are a couple in case you missed them in your neverending focus on all things Alabama. Auburn Oaks...(super secret inside information)Good Read on Auburns Backfield for 2012...back on topic, Auburn is doing a great job at recruiting again this year like they have each year in the post Tubberville era. What sets this year apart from the past few years is the fact that they are getting it done a lot earlier as opposed to waiting until signing day. I hope Alabama and Auburn sign the 1a and 1b classes this year and keep the State of Alabama domination of College football rolling. Roll Tide and War Eagle.

Sure is a long time till February and signing day. Im sure however AU season unfolds will play into some of the kids final decision on that day. Im sure the same will go for Bama recruits as well.

The thing that doesn't really add up about Auburn's recruiting though is this: if they have done such a great job in the post Tuberville era; why are they still so low on numbers and why do they have so much playing time to offer freshmen? Exactly. When a coach has been somewhere 4 years he can't keep calling his team young unless he is bringing in players that can't make the grades or won't behave. There's no excuse for not getting some of the younger guys valuable playing time in some of the asswhippings they took last year.

Exactly. There's no excuse for not getting some of the younger guys valuable playing time in some of the asswhippings they took last year. They did...........they were starters last year. Auburn started more freshmen than anyone last year. Lots of Soph's too. Should pay off soon. Auburn has a young team because their junior and senior classes are smaller than normal from a variety of reasons. They will most likely only sign around 20 or 21 incoming freshmen for this class because of that. After playing the last 2 or 3 seasons with 70 or 75 scholorship players the depth problems should be gone as well after this year. Watch out in 2013 !!!!
