usually 25 to 30. Cover is more important than height i like to pull my climber top above limbs t better break up my outline

[/b]   My great-uncle at the ripe old age of 76 has killed 8-10 deer a year for as long as I can remember and has never been in a stand or up a ladder.

i come from northeast pa and this is my first year hunting down here and i never used a stand up there so you can kill deer with out one
