@10:05 this morning. Story and pics later. We were walking down a road, when YEKRUT looked over a little rise in the road and we saw nothing but tail fan. Stop and took a seat about 25 yds in trees but he never came. We took the back way to try to get to him but on the next stop he had disappeared. Kept walking through tree towards his last location and still nothing. Crap hes gone!!! When I looked back from where we came from and there he was walking on opposite side of road, head down and running straight of us about 100+ yards away. Stepped back and took a seat. Soon as he got in front of us, one soft yelp and he turned 90 degrees toward road. Soon as he crossed the ditch and I saw head and neck he got stopped by the Mossberg at 30 yards. Man how things can turn around so quickly and how it pays to be alert at all times. Thanks again to YEKRUT for showing me whole turkey hunting thing!!!!!! 16lbs 13oz 10.25 beard 15/16" and 1" spurs

We are headed back north now. Matt can post his story and pics when we get home maybe. I've been jacking with a gobbler and 3 or 4 hens for the last 5 or 6 hours. I have watched him breed 2 of them and strut, spit, and drum the whole time. He will be there somewhere in the morning and so will we. Long day in the woods but productive.
