The BRICS nations made a formal announcement about the new proposed currency. It will weaken our dollar in a major way. Its not actually launched, but it is formally announced. It will most likely be a crypto currency of some kind but not or possibly backed by a tangible commodity index.
This video about 7 minutes long explains it without political bias.

Yep, People are tired of the United States being involved and controlling situations the World over, just like people around the world grew very tired of England. The good thing for Us here in the Good Ole USA is We can fed Ourselves “Grow Our Own Groceries” and self sustainable if need be.
If and When the USA falls like the rest of the World I am sure hopes for, I am Not sure the Earth will be a very good place to still be during that time and transition.

You say that like the United States is this bastion of truth and justice.
Yes... Most of the World sucks, but the US just sucks less for most folks.
The main reason for the creation of BRICS is that the United States went and weaponized the US Dollar.
I'm not a concerned about BRICS currency as some people apparently are. Most, if not all, of the countries that have formed this unholy BRICS alliance are only slightly more than 3rd world countries. Most of the people that live in these countries are barely above any sort of poverty level and there is a huge disparity between the rich and the few wealthy elites in these countries.
A few like India and Brazil are poised for really emerging, but I'm not so sure if they can get out of their own way in order to get that accomplished. Countries like China and Russia, are dead men walking I doubt we will see them survive much longer in their current forms. They rattle a lot of sabers, but their current governmental and economic models are unsustainable. South Africa is a complete joke of a country now.
The United States, if we can keep from imploding culturally and politically can survive very very well in a future where the world is less dependent on foreign trade and leans more toward isolationism. Most other countries cannot exist this way, but we can.
The United States created the international trade the way we see it today and has been the ones who have made it all possible since WWII. It will be interesting to see what happens when we back out of protecting the shipping lanes for everyone and start back to building our own stuff right here.

This can't happen soon enough. We've been a bad actor on the world stage for quite a while now. It's time to take that power away from the Feds. If the people here aren't willing to do it, then it's up to the BRICS countries to do it.

I think its a good thing because it will cut down on never ending wars and create an environment where people will want to stay in their own countries.

That might not be a bad idea because if its going to be like I think they are going to make it, the BRICS buck should be far more stable than the dollar. Its likely going to be based in Austrian economic principals not Keynesian fundamentals like the dollar.
