Anyone else have Delta tub faucets that leak constantly? I have to replace the little rubber cups 2-3 times/year. And most of the time it’s always on the hot side. I’ve tried Delta brand replacement parts and aftermarket, no difference. They just eat up those little cups after just a few months. I don’t get it

I even replaced the valve itself thinking it was worn and was eating up the cups but the new one went through them equally as fast.

You need a pressure regulator. I have a pressure tester (screws onto a hose bib). If you want to borrow it (I am in Tuscaloosa).

You need a pressure regulator. If it was a pressure issue, wouldn’t it be wearing out cups on both hot and cold? It’s almost always the hot side only. I think I’ve had to replace the cold side cup once in 2.5years (and who knows how old it was at that point since we only moved here in 2021. And no other fixtures give us any trouble

As BigEd stated - it water related. I would guess sediment from the water heater or a buildup of calcium.

Usually if it's the hot side its scale causing the issue. You can usually just clean it well and reinstall and your good to go until next time.

It's almost certainly a hard water issue. Hot water side produces sediment from the heating process. It wouldn't hurt to check the pressure though. I'll be in Northport/Tuscaloosa Monday if you want to PM me. Happy to check it for you.

I live in Shelby county and have to replace those about once a year. I blame it on the "hard " water. Must be all the sulfer they use, do you notice a sulfer smell? Mine leak too. So freaking aggravating.
