Call the Alabama Forestry Commission, they should have information on nurseries or vendors near you and planting guidelines.

And buy some really good gloves.

Can go up to Camden and visit IFCO,Rayonier in Elbertra, or PRT in Atmore

Planting yourself I’d plant 6x10,726 trees per acre

Good advice here . Call forestry commission first . Have to place order in advance or u won’t get them for next winter planting . Around 800 an acre is good . If u plant them yourself make sure roots are are not j rooted . That means don t bend the root when putting in hole .

Arborgen and Weyerhaeuser both put out good seedlings. Nowadays with pine the pulpwood market like it is, somewhere in the low to mid 500s seedlings per acre is standard and works quite well. Better modern genetics also allow the trees to grow straight despite having less seedlings per acre.
