Selling immature cucumbers that are "cute" and single green peppers wrapped in plastic but are still "Organic" has got to have a real high profit margin. I'm thinking they make about a $1.80 per pepper.

I'm not so naive as to think that produce from Mexico is organic like our snowflakes want.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

It has to be Organic, it says so 4 or 5 times on the sticker and plastic packaging.

Publix has been making money left and right. My first job in high school was working at Publix. They have a formula they followed for decades. Lots of saturation of areas, at least in FL, and keeping clean stores that put their competitors to shame and out of business. The Legendary brand of Lakeland FL. They’ve gotten way expensive down here lately but folks like the cleanliness and variety. Sometimes BOGO are good deal but have to really compare prices.

They got great wings and subs too. And the people working there are clean and well mannered. Not some foul mouthed weed smelling nose ring slacker with dirty clothes like at some of the other stores.

I like Publix. Not a fan of the prices but their fruit and veggies are always good. And the service is outstanding. It costs a little more to avoid going to Walmart.

And grocery stores have historically had slim margins on most products, even losing money on some items.

I go to Publix for the customer service. If it costs 5-10 more on the total of my bill, that’s fine.

I’ll pay a little more than shopping with folks wearing pajamas and flip flops with toes that look like they went through a meat grinder. Avoid the Walmart shitt as much as possible.

One thing I appreciate about them is they seem to make a point of giving jobs to special needs kids or kids with “borderline spectrum” issues. Probably a good thing for society that there’s places to give them an outlet for productive work.

I don’t know that their meats are as good as they could be. Especially for the price, steaks are so dumb high I don’t even buy them anymore except a special occasion

To be fair they do offer just regular ol bell peppers right there too. If you buy that one you might need to take your mask down so it’s not fogging up your glasses.

Our local Publix's seem to hire folks that are personable, and friendly. I'll spend my money there before I will at Walmart.
