When I officially started doing gun work back in 2004 I bought one of their barrel vises.
This thing is solid steel and is massive. It has four 1/2" clamp bolts to tighten down on the barrel to keep it from spinning when removing the action.
Well, fast forwad to about a week ago. I was pulling the barrel on a 700 and while tightening the bolts I heard a loud pop.
I though the aluminum bushing had split, but to my surprise, the threads in one of the holes completely stripped all the threads at once.

Not knowing when I bought it or where to find the invoice I called brownells.
I explained what happened and the lady I spoke to was able to find the original order.
Within a couple minutes, she had a new vise on the way free of charge and emailed me a return label to send the broke on back.
In this day of no one keeping their word and terrible customer service, that was not how I thought that conversation would go.
Needless to say I am very happy to report their warranty means something

Thats great news, thanks for sharing! It's getting harder and harder to find places that stand by their products and honor their warranties.

I've been dealing with Brownells for 50 years or so. Always had great customer service. Happy to hear they still have that level of customer service still.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

That's good customer service there....now, I wonder if this next one will be the same quality and last as long as that one did.

I read where folks were returning their Labradars purchased from Brownells when the Garmin Xero came out. The value on the secondary market for Labradars fell from $600 to less than $300 almost overnight when the Xero came out.

Take way- might be worth purchasing “tech” products that can become obsolete overnight from Brownells (if they aren’t excluded from their lifetime satisfaction guarantee warranty)

Well I got the new vise. It's identical in design to the old one.
Just as thick and heavy as the original.
Hopefully it will last as long
