Yes. You should listen to the entire podcast. Guy gives some great details. Big Pharma gets raked over the coals for the monopolizing medicine (and rightfully so). He goes into detail about the Insurance industry and how the big 5 control the govt.
If Caitlyn Jenner can keep his wiener and be considered a woman, I can keep my guns and be considered disarmed!

Notice the increased amount of pharmaceutical commercials on news channels and news time slots? It’s not to increase sales, it’s spending big money to media companies for favorable reporting. They’ve got Congress paid off, so now they’re paying for positive press. Thats right. And if they did not pay for all those commercials big media would skull drag them and show everything about big pharma and big health insurance that they have never shown. A lot of folks think the generic drug company that got sued out of existence for the opiod epidemic got rolled like that because they refused to pay big media's price, so the secrets got let out just enough to get the lawsuits rolling.

I guess you talking about OxyContin. We used it years for hospice pts. Worked extremely well until one day it didn’t.

I posted about this months ago. The long and short of it is on a medication the pharmacist used as an exaample, his cost is $2. He would sell it for $4 cash out the door. If you have insurance, he has a gag order and can't tell you the cash price. You pay a $10 co-pay, the pharmacy gets $4, and the insurance co gets $6. You walk away happy because you think you got a deal. But you didn't, you got screwed. I moved some scripts over to amazon pharmacy and they give you the option to pay cash, or file it with insurance. My cash price on the stuff I did there is actually cheaper than sams.

That’s why we don’t accept it or any other “discount” cards. Also, sometimes I conveniently forget about the gag order and run my business how I see fit. As long as you are not flagrant about it, all will be fine. I do know of some that have received cease and desist orders from the PBM but that is not the norm. One other thing to mention, clawbacks only happen on a certain percentage of prescriptions. I don’t know what that number is but I’d say between 5-15.
