I knew we had operations going on in Niger but I did not think it was as big as it really is. We have 1,000 troops effectively being held hostage by Russian and Niger forces right now and nobody has really said a damn thing about it. Now it looks like we are either going to have to fight for or hand over an airbase (drone airbase) that we apparently have there. WTF kind of mess has our government gotten us into? https://twitter.com/amuse/status/1781999920104210688

Go get them and the equipment us taxpayers bought. Then remove the base from existence via cruise missiles n air strikes

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Heard about this few days ago. We had been air dropping supplies to them and they closed the airspace off to us so I guess our pathetic admin sees this as our only option to save our 1000 soldiers. I thought we had special ops for this type operations? Guess they are all busy helping Ukraine fight or who knows where. We are so weak it is pathetic. I have not heard the first thing about even our troops being there to begin with on msm. 😬😬. I saw it breaking last night on fox nes the Biden admin is considering sanctions against Israel? WTF?

This administration has to be making these decisions on purpose. The only other explanation is that they really are completely stupid and insane. With our nearly unstoppable air superiority we are losing control of a very weak country that does not have any tree's...how is it possible to lose that? If they shut of air space access then we should be able to open it with minimal effort, we may have to blow up two radar stations instead of one radar station, but it should not be a difficult job.

This United States government once again and this keeps repeating itself is not The People’s government. It is proven time and time again to have morphed into anything but what Our Founders envisioned as Our- The People’s government. Just yesterday this same government passed legislation to the tune of $60 billion taxpayer dollars for Ukraine aid while We the People get nothing but another day to the salt mines to keep funding the coffers for Our so called elected officials to waste Our money in an unwise manner. We are being played on the highest level and there really is pretty much zero pushback back. I guess We are all getting what We deserve.

Can this be verified other than a dude in a Star Wars mask with a Twitter account? Not that I doubt it with this administration, but not sure of the source.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

It's all about giving our tax money away. We have so much tax money, they piss it away. That's the reality of it. We're not a broke country.

After reading the AP story, its clear that Niger business was an Obama project, it was started in 2013. It has since gone the way so many other Obama projects have gone. Wasted money, wasted lives, some rich assholes got their cash, and now the country of Niger gets to enjoy another 50 years of war torn chaotic poverty which we will also have to pay for. Good job Obama.

not a dollar for the southern border. Johnson needs to go now. Put Matt Getz or Jim Jordan or mtg in there. Lot of people don’t like Getz. Check his voting record. He is one of only about 10 that haven’t voted to continue BS the last few months. Tim burchette up here in Tn is another. I am stumped on why MTG voted to continue fisa but no on everything else. Lots of blackmailing going on up there

I really miss Ronald Reagan. Ol'Ronnie would've eaten a jelly bean said "well" then ordered the problem to be solved militarily and Niger would have exterior decorations.

Hard to believe that one man could do so much damage to our country but he has and continues to do so.

that man is a very small part of it. He just reads what they write in the crayon board every day. But he is the perfect puppet for the puppet masters to destroy our country. That and every 3 letter agency is now ran by liberals in on the racket it amounts to one big fkking of us the American people

Basically what you are seeing in the Sahel region of Africa and several other formerly French colonial areas is a low grade conflict between the west (Mainly France) and Russia for influence in the area. The French never were good colonizers always treating the local populations as lower life forms. An argument can be made there, because sub-Saharan Africa is well... and as we all know the French are pretty haughty. As such, few if any former French colonies have ever had any real love for their former French colonizers at any time since.

Now I guess these former colonies are looking for another Sugar Daddy in the form of the Russians, and God knows what the Russians are promising them, but if they thing the French were bad they are in for a rude awakening. If living in an African chit hole ain't bad enough, living in a Russian dominated African chit hole is going to be a nightmare.

Sometimes people get what they deserve...

Glad to see our troops moving out of there. That must have been hell hole of a duty station. Hope our troops all get home safe.
