Lowe’s in Northport a few weeks ago, I purchased several items and I had a set of wrenches that had one of those anti-theft devices attached. I’m using the self checkout and I hand the wrenches to a girl there by the register so that she can remove the device, while I’m still scanning items and bagging them. She returns with the wrenches and instead of handing them to me she just put them in one of my bags of items already scanned. I could have walked out with them but I didn’t. I got them out of the bag and scanned them (@$70.00). Even though it was a Lowe’s employee that placed them in the bag, I would have been stealing if I had walked out with them. Not a prosecutable offense under the law, but a sin that I would have to answer for. Satan tempts us every day, just do what’s right whether someone is looking or not and you will be blessed 10 fold.

At the range one time I had identical range bag with another member who had a Richard Heinie .45 that he had waited 2 years and 8 months for I'm at a loss to say why Karl wasn't happy with the 1927 Ballestar Molina with 7 Pachmayr mags I had at the time. I think my BM cost all of $255.00 and Karl was happy to get his Heinie gun.

I would have done the same thing! Well done I wasn't really looking for a pat on the back. Just curious when this happens to others. But thanks!

I would’ve went back and paid for it myself. But unfortunately I know people who purposely don’t scan items at self check out. They claim if they wanted it all scanned they’d have an employee scanning them. These are decent people but their moral code is just a little off.

Several years ago I needed a couple bags of ice early on a Sunday morning. Nothing was open around me at 5 AM and the gas station on the corner had ice outside. I grabbed a bag from them freezer because they had forgotten to lock it up they night before.
The owner was surprised when I paid for it the next day.

I do my best to not use self check out because those machines are a companies way of not giving a persons a job Now it makes you do a job their employees were paid to do

It's happened. My little girl had something in her hand when we got to the truck. I told her she could have it, but forgot when we went through the register. We walked right back in and I had her pay for it. She did so with a smile on her face. She really didn't understand the big deal. But she liked the praise the cashier gave her for being honest. That'll stick until she dies.
