Fixing to jump in the truck as soon as my buddy gets here. We’re headed to Sonora for our annual Axis/ turkey hunt. From what I’m hearing the turkey action is very slow due to poor hatches from the bad drought. It doesn’t matter because we’re gonna have a good time regardless. I really hope I can get a couple axis to replenish the freezer. The main thing I want is for us to have safe travels. I’ll update if there’s anything to update y’all with.

If you are going into Mexico be careful, but I don't need to tell you that. I guess that is just a different way to wish you luck for an enjoyable and safe trip.

We made to camp around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. Saw 1 young Axis buck and a bunch of whitetails on our way into the camp. We got everything unloaded and relaxed yesterday afternoon. Tried to get on some turkeys earlier this morning with no luck. In a stand now watching a water hole. The ranch owner and his cowboys been rounding up cattle and goats the last 2 days. I think that may have the Wildlife a little skittish. Oh and the weather sucks. Cloudy, muggy, breezy and really dry and dusty. Which is not a problem because we are gonna have a great time regardless.
