I do like the idea of building a little shed for it though. I may try that if my new plan of chaining it to the house, and locking the lid shut doesn't work. That will be plan C. I got news for you, short of it being all metal, and heavy gauge steel, you aren't keeping a bear out of it. Electricity as Fred said, is probably the best solution.

Dingle Johnson Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 22,700 Lickskillet, AL	Irishguy vs The Bear Episode 3 So I looked through my collection of stupid guy stuff that we never throw away and came up with a couple of ideas, but it still required 2 trips to Lowes for the other pieces that I knew I had, but just couldn't find... 😃 Bolted the refuse receptacle and bear smorgasborg to the CMU wall using 1/4" wedge anchors and double loop chain, I used a similar set-up to hold the top closed. As an added treat I poured cleaning ammonia on top of the delicious contents. Y'all are probably betting against me in the office pool, but... Your turn Yogi...
