Sounds like he shot 4 times. Carrying a gun and not knowing how to use it or not being capable of hitting your target with it will get you killed. The guy that was killed appeared to be fighting over a vehicle that he possibly didn’t even own.

Hard to comprehend how none of those 4 shots were fatal at such close range

looked like he had a malfunction or 2 while shooting.

I'm not sure the "good samaritan" was even legally justified in using deadly force

I think that was vest guy's work truck which he had left running. If you read the story, this was the second vehicle the criminal tried to jack.

i watch the video a few times and my opinion is the guy made a lot of mistakes and lost his life .




to top it all off , if he had killed the guy he probably lost his job , been sued and went to jail .

If anyone here is familiar with the MOWAs, Lumberton has their own version. I worked there for a few months and it was really weird seeing a carbon copy. Same mannerisms and five or six common last names just like MOWAs. First couple of days I joked and told one of them I’d cut his ass and he grinned and gave me a thumbs up.

Saw the video and was telling my wife not to view it if it pops up. I also explained that it is worthless to CC if you cant hit from point blank range. 1 steady well place shot to the dome and he would still be alive. I agree cops were on the way and would have been best to let him take the company truck, but in that kind of high pressure situation its hard to say how we would react.

Wonder why the last shot didn’t shatter the window?

Two key takeaways-

1- Never pull a gun on somebody over stealing a vehicle if someone’s life is not in imminent danger.

2- Never take your eyes off of the threat in a hostile situation.

I think all his shots were fired into the ground as a scare tactic.

Horrible situational awareness all around for that victim unfortunately. Prayers for his family and friends.
