Had a few birds around me gobbling within 300 to 500 yards. Made a move onto the next ridge to close some distance and ran into them. 10 mins later a shot from where bird #2 was. Headed to where i.heaes bird w and hoping no.truck is there.

No luck for us. The two birds we boogered yesterday were roosted on the same ridge again on private. They wouldn’t let me call them to our ridge on the SOA again.

They’ve gobbled their heads off on the limb and shut up after landing. I just missed one that I stalked in a field and came in about 50 yards and picked me out.

Listed to one gobble on the neighbor's property from 6-7:20. At least 100 times. Never could get him to visit my parcel. Oh well.

Really got to listen to my instincts. When I was trying to close distance i got to the bottom of a hill. My gut said don't go up there. I decided I vould slip up the back side of it and went for it. Soon as I got to where I could see the top of the hill, off flew turkeys 15 yards away.

Number one rule in turkey hunting is don’t spook the turkey. Slow down, be more patient and don’t blow them out of all your hunting places. Turkeys don’t just get over events like that like deer do. Pace yourself. Don’t get in a hurry. Patience kills a lot more turkeys than anything else. This is coming from the master of doing stupid stuff in turkey season too. I’ve learned a lot about what not to do. 😂👍

Yep. Incredibly frustrating but I hope I learned another valuable lesson in how to not kill turkeys.

Heard 7 different birds this morning. Had one within 70 and 80 yards multiple times this morning. Finally found a different one to go after. He gobbled a few times then went quiet on me. About 30 minutes later I heard scatching and caught a glimpse of a turkey and a beard out of the corner of my eye as he went behind a big rock. He popped around the other side and I smoked him. Turned out to be multiple turkeys and I killed a jake. Mad at myself for it just got to excited I guess

Got this young man his first bird before church this morning. He lost his dad my cousin/best friend in a helicopter crash couple years ago.
